The Studio

Welcome to my studio!

I’ve been photographing some of NE Ohio’s youngest residents, most adorable children and coolest families for the last 6 years. Photographing your prized possessions is a joy and privilege. Every. Single. Time I receive a contact form or Facebook message my heart skips a beat with excitement and even a little bit of awe that I get to do something I love so much.

When you book a session with me, you aren’t simply added to a client list…you are welcomed to the family.

When I ask you questions about your life, it isn’t because I need to fill the empty space. I ask because I genuinely care. I want to know you, your heart, what makes your family tick. Those little details are what I use to blend your style with mine, to gain your trust, build a relationship and provide you with an experience you love from start to finish.

When you come to me for a session, you aren’t just given the address to a studio…you are welcomed to my home. I want you to be comfortable and know that you belong. Sit back, relax, take a nap if you are feeling sleep deprived or even a deep breath. Yep, a deep breath. Take a minute to acknowledge how blessed you are. We know that our children grow wings and fly before we are ready to let them go, so pay attention to these special moments and know that I am capturing the very essence of who they are.

When I hold your new baby is it with the same love I hold my own. It is with skilled and careful hands that have been trained by some of the best photographers in the world. I wrap your little one in delicate knits, organic wools, specialty items that I have been collecting for years and even my prayers. Every detail from the temperature of the room to the wrinkle on those tiny toes is important to me and has been thought out, so I can provide you with an experience you will love and images you will treasure.

Those same tender hands that hold your newborn are fully capable of wrangling your toddler, tickling tiny tummies and making sessions stress free and fun. Know upfront that I am slightly ridiculous, tell silly jokes and bring the shyest child out of their shell. We will play games and most likely make a mess. That’s OK! I will sing terribly off key songs (not OK, but I can’t help it) and might even set my camera down just because the story your child is telling me is important. You see, on one side I am running a business, but on the more important side, I coming along side your family to preserve the days, the snuggles, the smooches that may not be remembered otherwise. I’ve found, the best way to capture a family is to make them feel like family and that is my goal.

I would love to welcome you to the LBP family. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to schedule our time together.
